It is an amateurish attempt by director Nagendra Prasad with silly sequences, senseless narration and a meaningless script. Nobody knows where the story starts and ends. The movie appears more like a documentary on Nepal with the cinematographer Dasari Seenu doing some sensible work. The story takes us back to the 1960s and ’70s with meaningless flashbacks that ultimately end in confusion. By the time you realize what the story is about, the movie is over.
Raja (Ram), a folk singer, goes to Nepal along with his troupe for a programme. He falls in love with Charmi (Gracy Singh) who is already engaged to a boy (Chethan) from the US. But Raja wins her heart, becomes intimate with her and ends up rejecting her saying he pretended to fall in love with her to take revenge, for he holds her responsible for the death of his parents and sister in India. Amid this confusion, Sudeep makes an entry, dances and leaves. The rest of the film makes for painful viewing.
Ram fails to impress. Gracy Singh does not fit the bill. Shobhraj is atrocious. Music by Harikrishna is okay. The less said the better about the rest. Source: timesofindia.indiatimes.com
